It looks like someone slapped building-sized cellular panels onto a flying bus. But don't let the clunky appearance fool you. The Cat and Mouse Game in the Sky
To understand why Russia is risking a heavy transport helicopter to carry these arrays, you have to look at what Ukraine is flying. We aren't just talking about the tiny first-person view (FPV) drones buzzing around trenches. Ukraine has been routinely launching long-range strike drones hundreds of miles inside Russian territory to blow up oil depots and airfields.
